William V. Worth "Bill or Sonny" to those who knew him passed away his at the age of 89 on November 12,2025 in his home, he was surrounded by daughter Marjean, son Billy, friend (Michel) as well as hospice nurse Terri & social worker Jem after a brief battle with bladder cancer.

Bill "Sonny" was born on August 13, 1936 in New Miner, WI to the late William/Evelyn (Leggitt) Worth.  He served in the Army for a couple years before he wed Roberta (Bobbie) C. Burnett on October 17,1959 & they were blessed to have 62 years together before her passing in July of 2021.

Bill was a bookkeeper by trade for Louis Bass, Inc for over 40 years.  He would take a part-time job in his early retirement do some bookkeeping for another small business; also worked at a gas station for a brief time. He & Bobbie loved to travel & took several cruises, went camping, and had many friends in Wisconsin before heading to Arizona in October of 2007 where they began to fully enjoy their retirement years in Green Valley.  They would attend various social functions within the Legends (GVR); made friends quickly, Bill of course the social butterfly & Bobbie the organizer/planner.  Soon, Bill was pitching horseshoes and for 18 years he took care of grooming the horseshoe pits & taking the coffee orders for the guys/gals.  He also assisted in coordinating the Senior Olympics and had fun participating in them as well.  He played a variety of card games (Canasta, cribbage, 314, Push) and various other games (Tri-Ominos, Quad-Ominos, etc.), he and Bobbie played Pinochle with the White's (Pete/Deloris) and the Morrison's (Jan/Bill) for a number of years, Bill also played sheepshead/poker, Bunco (when needed) with the GVR community--he could always find something to keep him busy & out of doing chores.  They would enjoy many theater performances at the Fireside in WI as well as the Gas Light in AZ.  He would even join another bowling league after not bowling for over 25 years, he was the 50/50 raffle guy for the BAJA organization during the bowling season.

Bill was your go to 'guy', need a lift to a medical appointment or airport he'd arrange for it to happen even at 3:00 a.m.  He always seemed to go the extra 'mile' & while those that were 'snowbirds' he'd take care of their homes--trimming various bushes/cactus & making sure everything was ready for their return.  He also would put out water for Stoli & later Levi for them to have a drink while being walked by their owner (Rebecca) 6 days per week --Sunday he took off as that was also the day Rebecca would go to church, so he would sleep in and get caught up on his own personal chores.  He would travel to WI at least once a year, taking his last trip just in June--where he visited his sister Mary, daughter/son-in-law, grand-daughter, great grandchildren, as well as close friends & various in-laws.

He is survived by his daughter Marjean (Mark) Young, his son Billy Worth, brother Chuck (Carole) Worth, sister-in-laws: Betty Worth,  Amme (Steve) Bredl, Anita, MaryAnn & Lori Enerson, granddaughter Ashley Rajchel, great-grandchildren: Andrew, Austin, Bella & Dominick, very special friends: Michel Martin and Deb Christenson, along with many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie, parents William/Evelyn, brother Roger, Sister Mary as well as his brother in law Ossie Hamel, sister Betty Lou, brother-in-laws: Dan, Tom & Robb Enerson, mother & father-law Betty/Bob Enerson, and grand-daughter Michelle, as well as dog Sadie.

Bill will be greatly missed by his family & many friends but he'd want each of us to always know that we held a special place in his heart & now it's time for someone else to carry on the 'torch' as he's now at rest with his lovely wife Bobbie (dancing up in haven).

There will be no funeral services as per request, his ashes along with wife Bobbie's and dog Sadie will be spread at a designated place back in Wisconsin.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or any other charity of your choice in his memory.   The family appreciated the care that was given to him by Gentiva Hospice, providing them with the support & meeting his comfort needs during his final days.
