William Bennett's Obituary
William C Bennett died Dec 20, 2018 at 90 yrs of age. He was born April 19, 1928 in Detroit Michigan to Elmer M Bennett and Augusta Lenz. After high school he joined the USAF and served from 1946-1949, serving in Okinawa. After his military service he went to college at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan where he received a degree in Advertising and Marketing. His career culminated in being a Marketing Executive Vice Pres for Heublein Food and Liquor of Hartford Conn. Bill and wife Rowena moved to Tubac AZ in 2000 where he resided until his death.
Bill was a loving husband, father and loyal friend. He loved his family, enjoyed spending times with friends and loved good food, scotch and wine. He was blessed in many ways throughout his long life. His was a life well lived with many exciting experiences and travels. He ran a long and successful race, fought the good fight and has gone home to a promised reward in heaven.
He leaves behind his wife Rowena Bennett of Tubac AZ. Three children Susan Bennett Bradley of Palm Harbor Fl, James Bennett of Anchorage Alaska and Richard Bennett of Medina Oh. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren Rebecca Bradley, Scott Bennett and Brian Bennett. All who will miss him dearly.
