Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Alfred McLaughlin, 91, of Green Valley, Arizona died peacefully at his home on January 7, 2024. He was born in New Albany, Indiana on August 25,1932 to Thomas and Agnes McLaughlin. He attended New Albany High School and graduated from college at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, where he lettered in baseball and basketball. Tom served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.  He worked in Liberia, Africa for the Firestone Rubber Company.  After marrying his first wife, Barbara, they moved to Columbus, Indiana and began raising a family that included 6 children.  The family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and later to the Denver area.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Agnes (who lived to 103), his brother Jim, sister Betty Ann Jones, and is survived by his sister Sr. Noreen (Mary Pat), brother Bob, his children Michael (Pamela), Mathew, Daniel (Dawn), Celeste Spiers, Shawn (Kristi) and Andrew (Amber), 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Ellis Family Services in Littleton, Colorado on February 17, 2024, at 11 AM. Committal service will be at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana on February 24, 2024 at 11 AM.
