Thomas Bernardo

February 10, 1945–January 30, 2021

Beloved husband, devoted father, and proud Vietnam veteran Thomas Bernardo of Green Valley, Ariz. (formerly of Sarasota, Fla., and Lincoln Park, Mich.) died on Jan. 30, 2021. He was 75.

The son of Frances and Rose Bernardo, Tom attended Allen Park High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps in February 1966. He served for three years, achieving the rank of staff sergeant and earning a National Defense Service Medal. After his discharge, he studied at Eastern Michigan University and Wayne State University. He later flourished in a career in sales, working for nearly two decades at Pat Milliken Ford in Redford, Mich.

He is survived by Christine, his wife of nearly 50 years; one daughter, Melissa, of New York City; two brothers, Rich (Peggy) Bernardo and Frank (Sue) Bernardo, also of Green Valley; and three nephews.
