Terry LeRoy Sutherland, 85, of Green Valley, Arizona, passed away on September 25, 2026.
Terry was born in Benkelman, Nebraska, to Calvert J. and Violet F. (Robinson) Sutherland, the second of five boys. In 1963 he married Susan, beginning a partnership of more than six decades. He earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Nebraska in 1967 and set out to fulfill his dream of owning his own pharmacy, which he did with Sutherland's United Drugs in Williams and Flagstaff, Arizona.
Terry was a pharmacist his entire career. Never one to stop learning, he earned his MBA from Arizona State University in 1987 and grew into leadership and executive roles, finishing his career as a healthcare benefit consultant. That path took Terry and Susan to Texas, Connecticut and Georgia before they returned to Arizona, retiring to Green Valley in 2005.
Terry loved his family above all. He also loved golf, a good game of cribbage, and his Nebraska Cornhuskers, staying a Husker fan wherever life took him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Susan K. Sutherland; his sons, Trent (Beth) and Michael (Susanne); his grandsons, Adam and Daniel; and his brothers, Jim, Tom and Tim.
