Tamara Manett Rice (formerly Michael), 61, went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2025.

Born on October 23, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas, Tamara was the cherished daughter of Patsy Rice and the late Howard Rice and beloved sister to Ron and Tracy Rice. She was the loving mother of Zachary Michael (Viridiana) and Brooke Maddox (Taylor), and the adoring grandmother (Lala) of Olivia, Charles, Graham, and Holland. She is also remembered by her former husband and best friend, Robert Michael.

Tamara devoted her career to caring for children, a calling that reflected her big heart and gift for nurturing others. She was funny, kind, and full of life, with a faith that carried her and a love for people that touched everyone she met. She especially treasured family gatherings, where games, laughter, and memory-making filled her home.

A woman of many passions, Tamara loved bull riding and watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers games and enjoyed the excitement and joy it brought her. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family and the time she shared with her grandchildren.

We will celebrate her life on November 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM at MyChurch in Sahuarita, Arizona. This will be a time to come together to remember her love, her laughter, and all the ways she blessed our lives.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
