Obituary

Sena Jolyene Jeffreys, 71, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at Arroyo Gardens in Green Valley, AZ, surrounded by love and in the comforting embrace of her faith.

Born on December 10, 1953, in Clinton, OK, to Billie (Blamey) and Earl Hulin, Sena lived a life rooted in kindness, grace, and an unwavering devotion - to her family, to her friends and to her faith. She spent her childhood in Clinton, where she participated in Girl Scouts, dance and piano classes and graduated from Clinton High School in 1972. Sena began her career shortly thereafter as a Legal Secretary - a role she carried with dedication and professionalism.

Her path led her to  Florida, where she met the love of her life, Kurt. The two were married in 1989, and soon began a new chapter in Arizona, where they built a loving home and shared a beautiful life side by side. Sena continued her career as a Legal Secretary in Nogales until her retirement in 2009.

Sena was known for her warm heart and gentle spirit. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan and found joy in the simple pleasures of life - painting, cross-stitch, bicycling and gardening. In retirement, she and Kurt shared a passion for travel, embarking on many trips together including a memorable transatlantic cruise from England to New York.

More than anything, Sena was a loving wife, a treasured sister, a proud aunt and a loyal friend. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and cherished and she touched many lives with her compassion and generosity. She found joy attending mass with her husband, Kurt and was especially devoted to her parish community at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.

Sena is survived by her beloved husband, Kurt; her siblings, Sidney, Jason and Rodney (Robin) Hulin; her sisters-in-law, Patsy Gilliam and Dee Dee Jeffreys; her niece Danielle Hulin; her nephews, Mason Hulin and Brendan (Christa) Jeffreys, Connor, Hudson and Brennan; her Aunt Vickie; cousins, Todd and Charlie; her Godson and Goddaughter, Brett and Brynn Lembke; and many treasured friends who will miss her deeply.

A funeral Mass celebrating Sena's life and faith will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Green Valley, Arizona on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 10:00 am.
