Russell "Russ" Dean Arbuckle, 76, of Sonoita, AZ. lost his life Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Services will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Green Valley Mortuary & Cemetery, 18751 S La Canada Drive, Sahuarita, AZ. 85629

Russ was born in Champaign, IL., the son of Frank and Ruth (Eakin) Arbuckle. Russ married Ruth Colleen Morris on November 1, 1968.

After discharge from the Army, Russ began his journey into the newest Industry: electronics. He continued to learn about electronics and printed circuit boards for 46 years from various electronics firms.

Upon his retirement from the electronic industry, Russ jumped at the opportunity to enjoy his favorite past time of bowling.  Russ retired one day and opened a bowling pro shop the next day, inside Cactus Lanes in Tucson. This gave him the opportunity to put into play what he learned from Gene and Alice at the Pro Shop in Golden Pins, Tucson, AZ. Russ went onto obtain his credentials as an USBC Silver Coach. Russ enjoyed meeting and helping people, no matter their age.

Survivors include his wife Colleen of Sonoita, AZ., his mother, Ruth Marie Sims of Urbana, IL. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Stepfather, and Sister.

Russ truly enjoyed teaching young bowlers. The memorial is designated to The Youth Bowling Program at Cactus Bowl , 3665 South 16th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85713.
