Robert (Bob) L. Powell, age 78 from Tucson AZ, born June 7, 1942 in Stamford, CT passed away on January 29, 2021 at his home. He served our country in the Navy on a nuclear submarine. Bob married the love of his life Elizabeth (Bette) Murray on July 9, 1966. They raised their family in Coldwater, OH. Rob followed his lifetime dream and moved west to Tucson, AZ with his wife. Rob and Bette loved going on adventures and their grandchildren will cherish their adventures taken together. He loved being tour guide to friends & family by showing them the places he so loved. Bob loved camping, fishing, astronomy, wrestling cactuses, spending time discovering where an off the path dirt road would take him and he was an avid reader. He was a night in the K. of C. and an active member of the Tucson Submarine Club. Bob was the Treasurer of the Old Pueblo Lapidary Club where he loved teaching classes. He made beautiful pieces of jewelry and shared this love by teaching others. His family and friends will remember most his smile and love for his wife.

Bob was preceded in death by his son Christopher and daughters Jodi and Erin.

Survived by his loving wife Bette, who he was married to for 54 years. Son and daughter-in-law Bob and Brenda; daughter and son-in-law Pam and Dennis Muhlenkamp. Nine grandchildren; Powell: Zachary, Joshua, Nicholas, Benjamin, Broderick and Elijah. Muhlenkamp: Logan, Luke and Lauren.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
