Richard Gerald Parker born March 17, 1944 in Tupelo, Mississippi to Mary Ann (Johnston) & Rex Parker.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and served his country with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of dedication and hard work. He loved being a military man and was very proud to be an American. He then worked with Civil Service at DMAFB for 10 years before his medical retirement.  After his retirement he served as his grandson's daycare enjoying many days of sunshine, Burger King and going to the base to watch the planes soar overhead.   He loved Hot Rods, fast cars and will forever love a flat head! (A Ford Motor).  He was crafty and enjoyed welding, a trade he learned from his father-in-law and one he passed down to his son-in-law.

He is survived by his adoring wife Mariana of 48 years, his only daughter Wendi or Pooh as he liked to call her, his beloved son-in-law Gary (Bradshaw), his four beloved grandson's, Logan (18), Kyle (15), Jarrett (12), Aaron (10), six fur kids, and a brother, Joe Parker (MS).

He lived life for his family in Arizona and told us daily that he loved us. He never met a stranger and everyone he came in contact with loved him.  He was the most patriotic man and always had his flag souring high in the front yard. Our hearts are sad and we will never be able to fill this void, but it is comforting knowing he is peaceful and likely dancing in heaven as the life of the party!  He will be deeply missed every day by his family.
