Richard E. Hill, 82, of Green Valley, AZ died on December 31, 2024, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Rich was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Susan, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Together, they raised four loving daughters: Gretchen (Jeremy), Betsy (David), Barbara (Joe), and Courtney (Kelly).

He was a proud grandfather to Austin (10/25/1997 – 8/19/2024), Brayton, Charly, Peyton, Bree, and Alison, and he was fortunate to have five great-grandchildren. His family brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment he was able to spend with them.

Rich had a distinguished career as a CPA and served as the CFO of the National YMCA and the YMCA Retirement Fund. After retirement, he dedicated his time to volunteering, taking on roles such as church treasurer, treasurer of the Green Valley Council and  president of his Green Valley HOA. After moving to La Posada, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, he volunteered to be the Treasurer and President of the Residents Council there and he continued to offer financial assistance to his former HOA.

In addition to his professional and volunteer achievements, Rich was known for his good sense of humor and his passion for music. He was actively involved in several choral groups and choirs. He also enjoyed using his skills as a volunteer Microsoft Publisher operator.

Rich's kindness, laughter, and love for his family will be deeply missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2 pm at the Rec Center at La Posada in Green Valley. Those who knew him are invited to join the family in sharing their cherished memories.
