Randolph Grady Luttery, known to friends and family as "Randy" was born on November 13, 1948 in Atlanta Georgia.  He passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024 at his home in Sahuarita Arizona at the age of 75.  His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

From infancy until school age, Randy lived in Atlanta Georgia with his mother, Mary Luttery.  Later, he moved to Cleveland Ohio to live with his aunt (Irene Murphree) and uncle (Elbert Murphree).  This loving couple provided Randy with a loving and supportive home environment.  The Murphree's taught Randy to care for himself, to maintain a home, proper etiquette and what it meant to be a man.

Shortly thereafter, Randy's mother passed away in Georgia, so he continued living with his aunt and uncle in Ohio.  He adopted the quiet nature of his uncle and kept a low profile during much of his lifetime.  During these years, Randy developed a love of music, perfected his tenor and occasionally sang with the O'Jays.  He was extremely athletic and enjoyed playing football and working out.  He developed a propensity for electrical engineering, plumbing, home/car repairs and leadership skills.  Notably, Randy developed a strong aversion to cold weather while growing up in Ohio!  When his aunt and uncle reached their Golden Years, he lovingly relocated them from Ohio to live with him in sunny Los Angeles, California.

Randy had a distinguished career in the United States Army.  He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant, retired with 21 years of military service, earned numerous honors and awards for Special Forces, and other service-related achievements.  During his military career, Randy developed a passion for international travel.  His military duties required him to visit every country in the world except two.  Randy was extremely proud of his military service.  He was often observed wearing a cap with the Special Forces insignia.  While his demeanor was strong, he spoke softly but conveyed the agility of a battle tested warrior!  After his military retirement, Randy used the leadership and confidence gained from the experience to complete several other careers in the trucking and restaurant industries.

Randy met the love of his life, Kathy in 1998; and they were married in 2006.  In 2007, they relocated to Tucson AZ and adopted Marley in 2012.  The family often hosted family and friends which brought joy to everyone.  Before Randy fell ill, the family travelled extensively.  Together, this couple weathered the "storms of life" with unwavering commitment to each other and enjoyed 25 years together.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, their daughter Marley, stepson Kevin, his son Oliver, grandchild (Nakia) and great grandchildren (Ira, Enzo Hostler and Naya); his devoted sisters, Delores (Jeff) and Sheila (Les); and his constant companion, Missie (aka Lady Barks A Lot), the family pet, as well as numerous family and friends.
