Obituary

Peter Zadorozny was born in Cumberland, RI on September 1, 1925, and passed away in Green Valley, AZ on June 4, 2018. Peter lived most of his life in Lincoln and Cumberland, RI, and moved to Arizona in 1990. He is pre-deceased by his beautiful daughter, Catherine. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Helen (Tyniak) Zadorozny, his sister, Catherine, two daughters, Paula Martini (Steve), and Debra Rodriguez (Armando), grandchildren Brad LaChapelle (Nicole), Andre LaChapelle, and Marisa Pope-Malings (Brandon), three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the best husband, Dad, and granddad ever. He truly cared about his community and in making the world a better place.

He had been a maintenance supervisor at the Owens Corning Fiberglas Company in Ashton, RI. Peter had served in the US Merchant Marines during World War II in both the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea war zones, earning him an Honorable Discharge from the US Coast Guard. Peter was a member of the Cactus Mariners of Tucson, and a member of the VFW Post #0827, as well as the American Legion Post #66 in Green Valley. He has been a member of the Morning Star Lodge #13 F&AM of Woonsocket, RI., and was president of Saint Stephen's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Manville, RI for ten years. Peter was also president of the Saint Stephen's Cemetery in Manville for 25 years.

Peter was brilliant, kind, and thoughtful. A huge void exists now and our hearts are broken.
