A great man and loving father, Pedro Alaniz, passed away at the age of 62 on Friday the 8th of September. Pedro was born in Juarez, Mexico, son to Esperanza and Mariano Alaniz and oldest of 12 children. He moved to Lordsburg, New Mexico where he met his wife, Yolanda. Pedro Alaniz had a wonderful and active life with four daughters and a manufacturing engineering degree. Together they lived in California until they moved to Arizona where he spent his days at Raytheon and evenings at the church with the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Alaniz, four children: Nicole Heath, Andrea Hamby, Alexandria Alaniz, and Angelica Chavez, and four grandchildren.

Pedro was an avid runner and participated in many marathons for charity. He enjoyed creating new models with his 3D printer for his grandchildren, Michelle Heath, Howie Heath, Scarlett Chavez and Joe Chavez III. Pedro was a great family man and would travel to visit his mother and the Alaniz family often. He would also visit his beautiful grandchildren and hike throughout California with his son-in-law Michael Heath. Pedro Alaniz was loved by every person he met, he will always bring us happiness and light in our memories of him.
