Marsha L.
Schoeneberg
Jul 4, 1943 — May 1, 2026
Green Valley
Marsha L. Schoeneberg, 82, of Green Valley, AZ passed away on May 1, 2026. Born on July 4th, 1943, in Tulsa, OK, the only child of O.D. and Leize Turner. Marsha lived a life defined by her love for others, her dedication to education, and her faith.
Marsh graduated from the University of Colorado in 1965 and married Richard later that year, embarking on a life filled with purpose and devotion. She began her career as a French teacher from 1966 to 1967, discovering early on that her true calling was to shape young minds. She welcomed her daughter Cynthia on April 23, 1966, and her daughter Erica on March 26, 1972, embracing motherhood with the same warmth and dedication she brought to everything she did.
In 1976, Marsha returned to the classroom as an early childhood teacher, a role she held through 1984. Never one to stop growing, she earned her master's degree in Early Childhood Development in 1984 and went on to teach kindergarten from 1987 until retirement in 2001. Over the course of her career, she touched the lives of countless children and families bringing her natural organization, patience, and loving spirit to every classroom she entered.
After retiring Marsha and her husband moved to Green Valley, AZ where she embraced a fulfilling new chapter. She was a woman of many passions. She loved horses, she had a keen eye for photography, enjoyed bicycling, and treasured the opportunity to travel and experience the world. Those who knew her would tell you she was loving, helpful, organized, and deeply dedicated to the people and the causes closest to her heart.
Marsha was a member of Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley, where she served as a trustee, and as a Stephen Minister and Leader, offering care and compassion to those in need. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it out through quiet generous service to her church and to her community; she now rests at peace with the grace of the Lord she served.
Marsh is survived by her husband Richard, her two daughters Cynthia and Erica and by three grandchildren Caitlin, Colton, and Clay.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley, AZ.
