Obituary

Marita (Vogler) Sullivan was born on December 3, 1933 in Jasper, Indiana to John and Bertha (Hopf) Vogler.  On March 22, 2016 she reunited with her love John Sullivan and joined God.

Marita became a Sister of Providence at St. Mary of the Woods in 1949 and was a teacher and administrator at various schools in Indiana and Illinois before leaving the convent in 1969.  She earned a BA from St. Mary of the Woods College and MS from Indiana State

She later married her soulmate John and adopted her angel Mary Jo.  Marita continued in education and retired in 2000 from Pinecrest School in Thousand Oaks, California.  She moved to Sahuarita, Arizona in 2003 and became Nana to Kaden in 2004.

She survived or was preceded by husband, John, daughter Mary Jo (Boyter), son-in-law Scott, grandson Kaden, sister Viola (Vic) Sander, two brothers Andrew (Mary Ann), and Charles (Eileen) plus many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Green Valley, Arizona on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00am.  An Open House Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Valley Assistance Services. http://valleyassistanceservices.org/ways-to-donate/
