Obituary

Madalyn Carol Day, age 80, of Sahuarita, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2025.

Born on September 21, 1945, in Ohio, she was the daughter of Fred and Evelyn (Hubble) Stover.
On October 28, 1966, Madalyn married the love of her life, Darrell Madison Day, in Richmond,
Indiana. Together they shared 59 years of marriage and 60 years of companionship. In June 1985,
Darrell, Madalyn, and their son Daniel moved to Arizona, followed by Rodney and his wife Barb in
1987. Darren lived in both Arizona and Indiana, while Carla remained in Indiana.

Madalyn had a lifelong love of sports, especially football and basketball, and she was an avid fan of
college athletics. Above all, she cherished her family. She delighted in providing love, care, and
homemade treats for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always wishing happiness
for those she loved.

She worked at Ansel and later at the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center in Tucson, Arizona,
where she dedicated herself to serving others.

Madalyn's memory will be lovingly carried on by her husband, Darrell; her children, Carla Day
(George Preston) of Richmond, IN, Darrell Rodney Day (wife Barb) of Sahuarita, AZ, and Daniel
Madison Day (wife Jessica) of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Scott Day, Amber Isaac (husband Joe),
Brandon Dumford (wife Jay), Kyle Day (wife Marci), Kody Day (wife Niki), Faith Day, and Kayla
Day; and great-grandchildren, Shyenna Wright, Christina Day, Madison Day, Owen Dumford,
Reese Dumford, Taylor Girton, Chloe Isaac, Zoey Isaac, Evelyn Day, Bennett Day, Lindly Day,
Grayson Reichardt, Evan Reichardt, Madalyn Day, and Stella Casey.

She is also survived by her siblings, Ty Stover of San Diego, CA, and Stanley Stover of Richmond,
IN; dear friends Cathy and Rick Coelho; and her devoted caregiver, Yulianna Villa ("Ruby").

Madalyn was preceded in death by her son, Darren Scott Day; her parents, Fred and Evelyn
(Hubble) Stover; two sisters; and ten brothers.
