Mabry Ann Hunley, 79, of Green Valley, Arizona has embarked on a new adventure, leaving this life behind on August 11, 2025 at Banner Medical Campus Tucson, Arizona after a brief illness. Her children, Angela and Lawson, are honored and grateful to have been by her side. Mabry, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, was born September 10, 1945. She graduated from Valley High School in 1964. Mabry went on to earn a degree from Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing in 1967. In the 1980's she furthered her education at Bellermine College. Mabry was steadfastly devoted to nursing and spent more than 35 years dedicated to serving the city of Louisville at Ss. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. She provided patients with competent and compassionate care during their darkest moments as an Emergency Medicine R.N.

After retirement, she began traveling the country as an Emergency Medicine Registered Nurse. During this time, Mabry fell in love with the desert southwest. Green Valley, AZ started as a seasonal dwelling and became the home for which her soul was searching. Her family loved seeing Mabry thrive under the expansive desert skies and fully supported her fulltime move to Green Valley, AZ.

Mabry touched the lives of many people. She was a mother, sister, friend, and the best Granny ever. Left behind to cherish the memory of this amazing woman are her children: Angela M. Hunley of Louisville, KY, Dr. Lawson Z. Hunley (Amber Angel) of Canton, NC, and Fur Baby Nala Louise Hunley of Green Valley, Arizona (now residing in North Carolina). Sister, June Holsinger of Louisville, KY, grandchildren: Megan, Rachel, Elle, Wesley, and Ezra, and great- grandchildren: Sean, Gage, Isabella, Matthew, Nicole, and Carter. Also missing her are a niece and nephew, many cousins, and friends including chosen family members: Deb, Diane, Michele, Kate, and Christie.

Mabry is preceded in death by her parents Jackson (Bill) and Dorothy Newman, grandson Kasey Hunley, sisters Carol Jean Newman and Marcella Campbell, niece Theresa Holsinger, and chosen family Donna, Rick, Cathy, and Susan. Mabry will be joining a host of beloved family and friends. it is our hope she is having the greatest reunion with each and every one of them

A celebration of life for Mabry is currently being planned. Details will be announced in the near future.
