James "Jim" Blumenschein, 89, passed away on November 24, 2023 predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor. A 25-year resident of Green Valley he is survived by daughters Corinne Goeke (James) and Christine Alan (Rick); sons James Jr. (Sarah), and Daniel (Tanya); and grandchildren Callie and Janelle Goeke; and Laura, Eric, Matthew, Ian, Harrison, Ryan and Nicholas Blumenschein.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, Jim was the son of Anna Haring and Glenn Blumenschein. He grew up in Holly, Michigan and graduated from Holly High School in 1953. Married in 1958, James and Eleanor lived in Clarkston, Michigan, for 30 years, before moving to Green Valley in 1994.

Jim was a retiree of General Motors Corporation, where he was employed as an electrician and skilled trades supervisor. He had many friends and was always ready to help anyone who needed assistance.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on March 15, 2024 at 10:00 with interment at the Green Valley Cemetery immediately after.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers of Green Valley.
