Obituary

Henry Paul Manns Jr., 93, passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Tucson Veteran's Hospital.  He was born May 26, 1924 to Henry Paul Sr. and Kate Manns in Strawn, Texas, where he grew up. He was the second of four children.

Paul served in the Army Air corps in WWII as an airplane crew chief for P51 Mustangs and served on Iwo Jima. He was very proud to have served his country.  He eventually moved to Tucson, then Sahuarita.  He worked for 33 years as an electrician, then Superintendent at the Duval Mine.

He is survived by his brother Malcolm, three sons Hank, Jon and Courtland, daughter Terry and three step children, Jack, Cyndy and Bill. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kristine, Nicole, and Kyle Manns and Tarali Weston.  Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Manns, and his first wife Virginia Manns.

Services will be held at one o'clock on Thursday, September 21 st at the Green Valley Mortuary. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Fisher House Foundation or Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
