On February 18, 2022, Hector Antonio Latorre Denis passed away peacefully at his home in Green Valley, Arizona.  He was 74 years old. Although his health had been declining over the last year, his tenacity and good humor never faltered.  Hector served in the National Guard of Puerto Rico.  He earned his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez College of Engineering, and worked at the Puerto Rico Telephone Company for most of his career as a telecommunications engineer.  When he retired from engineering, he lived in Mexico and met Alicia Garcia, who survives him as his longtime companion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lydia Mercedes Denis and Felix Latorre Quintana, and his brother, Wilfredo Latorre.  He has one surviving brother: Felix Latorre.  He will be missed, especially by his children, all surviving him: Miriam Latorre Quinn, Aida Isabel Latorre, Luzette Latorre-Suau, Hector A. Latorre, Jr., and Pablo A. Latorre.  He is also survived by his ex-wife, Aida Baez Latorre, and six grandchildren:  Aidon Haze Latorre, Brylin Elizabeth Latorre, Patrick Joseph Quinn, Ariele Jade Suau, Mireille Jasmine Suau, and Gabriel Asher Suau.

A memorial service will be held at Green Valley Mortuary, in Green  Valley, Arizona on March 7, 2022, at 10 am.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on April 8th near the place of his interment, the St. Philip Catholic Church in Flower Mound Texas.
