Ludmila M (Goldie) Desimpel, age 98, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 3rd, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.

Goldie was born in December 1926, in Detroit Michigan, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ludmilla Huber. She was a devoted mother and wife of over 60 years to the late James (Jim) Desimpel who passed away in 2016.  Goldie and Jim moved to Green Valley, Arizona in 1980 and enjoyed their many years of retirement there.

Goldie was a patient, loving and positive person who was shaped by her deep Catholic faith.  She was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Parish for 45 years.  Goldie loved to play cards with her friends and family, and even at the age of 98, she would often win and astonish them all.

She is survived by her children, Judy Roberts, Mary Jane and Paul DeFilippo, Diane Charbonneau, and Jim and LaRita Desimpel, as well as her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by them all.

Memorial services for Goldie will be private. Green Valley Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Goldie's favorite charity, St. Jude's Research Hospital
