Frederick (Fred) William Mills was born 4/28/1942 to Hilma and Louis Mills in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Fred attended Oak Hills Bible College in Bemidji, MN for 3 years and had a strong relationship with God and a broad knowledge of the Bible and enjoyed talking theology. Fred had a full life as a salesman starting with Duncan Top YoYo Company as a salesman and trainer for spinning tops. He is part of the Duncan Top display in the Smithsonian Museum, toys of the 50's and 60's. From there he was an engineer for the railroad for 9 years before buying into the Snap-On Tools franchise. Fred sold tools throughout lower Michigan and Ohio for many years and at one point switched to Mac Tools. His weekends were spent riding and racing motorcycles at Rose Lake Forest in Leroy, Michigan. Fred retired at 58 to enjoy his lake home and spent several years visiting national parks while driving to Green Valley, Arizona where he would first spend winters but has been a fulltime resident for 17 years. Fred passed peacefully in the hospital with the love of his live, Dorothy Mills and his son Glen Mills on November 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Hilma Mills, and his brother Gerald Mills. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dorothy Mills, children, Michele and Glen Mills, grandchildren Chelsea & Luke Osiecki, Lane & Olivia Mills, Aiden Mills, and Gabrielle & Paul Ormsby, sisters Jill Jackson, Janet Altobelli, and Kay DeStefano, brother Donald Jackson, sister-in-law Elaine Mills, his great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
