On April 18th, 2024, Frances (Kika) Bracamonte was called home. Kika was born on March 26th, 1926, in Maravilla, California, but moved to Sahuarita, Arizona at a young age. At 16, she married her husband Ignacio (Nacho) Bracamonte and had two children, Teresa Moreno and Armando Bracamonte. Widowed after 49 years of marriage with Nacho, Kika continued to provide and care for her children, property, and cows in Sahuarita. Kika was the matriarch of her family; she enjoyed the yardwork in maintaining her beautiful trees and plants, looking out from her porch with a cold bud light and music, watching her chuparosas, spending time at her favorite store, the white elephant, and chasing after her eight grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to Kika, creating traditions such as lighting candles for Dia de Los Muertos, making tamales at Christmas, Menudo on New Year's morning, and Easter Breakfasts outside her home with fresh tortillas on the wood stove. After 98 years of life, family and dear friends will always remember Kika by her short stature, impressive rooster collection, quick, witty humor, love of beer, dancing to El Moro de Cumpas with a grito, and sending you off with "I won't tell you I love you but Te Quiero."

Kika is survived by her children, Teresa Moreno and Armando Bracamonte, and her eight grandchildren, Victoria Miyata, Ariana Bustamante, Micaela Ybarra, Amanda Bracamonte, Alexis Bracamonte, A.J. Bracamonte, and Lina Bracamonte. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren, Danytza Moreno, Eyva Moreno, Zeriahh Miyata, Dominick Moreno, Arabella Moreno, Maverick Miyata, Amelia Lopez, Olivia Ybarra, Lucia Bustamante, and Avalenah Valenzuela, who brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by husband Nacho Bracamonte, mother Victoria Nunez, father Ciprano Nunez, grandson Omar Moreno, and beloved chihuahua Tiki.

The funeral services for Kika will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, located at 505 N La Canada Dr, Green Valley, AZ 85614, on May 17th. The rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the mass at 10 a.m. In honor of our beloved Kika, we invite you to bring or wear a handkerchief, as that's how we'll always remember her.
