Florence Ann Thompson (Erwin)

March 26, 1936 – February 20, 2026

Florence Ann Thompson was born on March 26, 1936, in Wolfe City, Texas, to Billie and Thelma "Nonnie" Erwin. From the very beginning, her life was rooted in family — a value she carried with her every single day.

On January 19, 1957, she married the love of her life, Burrell Ross Thompson. Together they built a home filled with strength, laughter, and devotion. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment and enduring love until his passing in 2004.

Florence was a devoted homemaker, but more than that, she was the heart of her family. She was full of love and compassion, always giving of herself and caring deeply for those around her. She had a spirited nature that kept everyone on their toes — you never quite knew what journey she might take you on next. Whether through unexpected adventures, heartfelt talks, or simply her presence, she created moments that will be treasured forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Burrell; her son, Michael Williams; her grandson, Kristopher "Kritter" Williams; and her great-granddaughter, Abagail Elizabeth Toman.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Teresa (John) Black of Sahuarita, Cheryl (Keith) Webb of Idaho, and John Thompson of Sahuarita; her sister, Johnnie (Cecil) Campbell of Texas; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Her love will continue to live on through each of them.

Florence was loved by so many. Though our hearts feel the weight of her absence, we celebrate a life beautifully lived — a life defined by compassion, devotion, and the kind of love that never fades.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 10:30 a.m. at Green Valley Mortuary, 18751 S La Canada Drive, Green Valley, AZ 85614.
