Eleanor Blumenschein, 78.  Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on November 8, 2016.  She is survived by her husband, James, children Corinne (James Goeke), Christine (Richard Alan), James Jr. (Sarah) and Daniel (Tanya) and grandchildren Callie and Janelle Goeke and Laura, Eric, Matthew, Ian, Harrison, Ryan and Nicholas Blumenschein.  Eleanor was born in 1937 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the eldest daughter of Robert McMullen and Mildred (Stibich) McMullen.

A graduate of Detroit Commercial College, she worked for many years as a law office manager.  In 1958 she and James Blumenschein were married and lived in Clarkston, Michigan, until their retirement in 1994 when they moved to Green Valley. Eleanor was an avid amateur genealogist, active in the Green Valley Recreation Computer Club, sewed clothing for underprivileged children and participated in a local investment club.

A memorial service will be Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on November 18th at 10:00, followed by a luncheon in the church center for family and friends.  Private interment will be at the Green Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the St. Andrews Children's Clinic, Green Valley, Arizona.
