Obituary

Duane W. Koso, resident of Green Valley, passed away on February 23, 2019 at the age of 84. Duane grew up in Nebraska, born in the eastern part of the state, and moving to western Nebraska with his parents, sister and brother when he was in his teens. He owned a feed grinding business with his father, then went on to farm and ranch in Sioux County Nebraska. He and his wife Kay retired in 1999 and moved to Green Valley.

Duane loved to golf, particularly with his men's club and friends at San Ignacio Golf Club. He also loved watching sports, particularly Nebraska football, Arizona Wildcat basketball and horse racing. He enjoyed the views of the mountains and loved the feel of the sun on his face while not worrying about the Nebraska weather.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kay (Rohrig) Koso and their daughter Johnna who lives in Chicago with her husband Vito Capriati. He is also survived by four nephews and two nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Philomena Koso, his sister Bernice Curtis and brother, Dale Koso.

Special thanks to the staff and care givers at The Villas of Green Valley, At Home and Hospice Family Care of Green Valley for all they have done for Duane these past few months.

At his request, no services are planned. Donations in Duane's memory may be made to the charity of your choice, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
