Donald Joseph Mitchell, born December 7, 1931, a resident of Green Valley, AZ since 1984, passed away peacefully at his home on June 2, 2015. Donald was born and raised in Des Moines, IA, and lived in the Denver, CO area for 20 years. Donald was a proud member of the US Army, and worked for over 30 years in various roles with both Northwestern Bell and Mountain Bell. He was one of five children born to the late Fred and Laura Mitchell and was the beloved husband of Janice Mitchell, who passed away in 2011. Donald will forever be remembered by beloved children Michael and Patrick Mitchell, treasured grandchildren Thomas and Amanda Mitchell, Kristin and Bobby Truslow, Jessica Mitchell, and caring daughter-in-laws Sharron Brittingham and Linda Shoemaker, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.
