Life Legacy:
Our lovely, Diane Ernest passed away suddenly on November 13, 2017.
Diane lived in Green Valley Arizona for the past 29 years with her devoted husband Jack Ernest. Diane and Jack were happily married for 63 years. Diane was a caring mother to her 2 daughters, Sheryl and Donna. Diane was a grandmother to 5 grandchildren: Rick, Kelli, Erin, Tristan, Kester and 3 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Gavin, and Caelyn. She adored John, Donna's husband, as John and Jack are both engineers and love doing projects together. Diane admired Kester's wife, Amanda, entering into the Nursing Profession, after a tour in Afghanistan as a medic in the Army.
Diane was born in San Francisco. Diane lost her mother at an early age, with her father having to work; she helped take care of her sister before she went off to Nursing School. Diane graduated from the California Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. Diane also had degrees from UC Berkeley and a Master's degree from St Mary's College. Researching many topics was Diane's passion. Diane had a long Operating Room RN Career with Alta Bates Hospital in the Bay Area.
Diane loved the Desert and the people in Green Valley. She delighted in her retired years working with the Clay Studio. Diane and Jack were very knowledgeable about clay and kilns. Diane was an avid and detailed painter. Her award-winning paintings are enjoyed by her family. Diane was a Ham Radio operator having a General license KC7TJH, now a silent key.
Diane loved to travel. Diane and Jack took their daughters' camping. She loved to hike, fish, and take wonderful photographs of flowers, rocks, trees, and streams. Diane and Jack traveled to Central and South America and explored all around the United States.
