Curt Kopperud passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025 after a long fight with illness at Canyon Valley Memory Care Facility in Green Valley, Arizona.  He was born July 31, 1937 to parents, Clarence and Iva Kopperud, in Minot, North Dakota.  He was the oldest of two children.  Curt proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959.  He worked for Deluxe Check Printing Company in St. Paul, Minnesota, Des Moines, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska where he retired.  In 1998, he married Beverley J. (Talbott) Kopperud and in 2002, they moved to Green Valley, Arizona.  Curt was a member of the Marine Corps League where he held the position of bookkeeper and then Chaplain.  He served as a volunteer at Green Valley Recreation and served on the board of the Green Valley Elks.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, his daughter, Amy Gaudette (Jeff Gaudette), his step-children, Donald Talbott and Tammy (Talbott) Gubbels (William Gubbels), and three grandchildren, Dillon Gubbels (Jessica Gubbels), Jacob Gubbels, and Makayla Gubbels.

Curt enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and hanging out with his former Marine buddies playing Mexican Train.
