Cindy
Morse
Apr 5, 1948 — Sep 14, 2021
Heaven received a beautiful soul, Cindy Morse, on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021.
Cindy was born April 5th, 1948, in San Diego, California, to John P. and Lois (McLain) Kearns. She graduated in 1965 from Point Loma High School, then later from Pikes Peak Community College. She served the City of Woodland Park (Colorado) for 33 1/2 years, primarily as Municipal Clerk, and eventually as Assistant City Manager.
Cindy was respected for her years of leadership, wisdom and dedication working with the Colorado Municipal League and Supreme Court, CIRSA and others. She was a committed volunteer involved with her community. From the Woodland Park Saddle Club, the Teller County Senior Coalition, to the Green Valley recreation centers and others. She loved people and was a fun friend to all she came into contact with.
Cindy lived a full life and traveled often with her husband Terry, daughter Krissy and other family to destinations domestic and abroad. She enjoyed scrapbooking and recorded family memories that spanned over 70 years in a beautiful and original way. Cindy enjoyed a nightly glass of wine, or occasional gin and tonic.
Cindy had a generous heart, helping whoever she could by lending an ear, offering financial help, a meal, shoulder to cry on, or bed to sleep in, she'd meet the need with whatever means she had available.
An avid dog lover, Cindy was never without a 4-legged friend, from Basset Hounds to Saint Bernard's, her dogs hit the lotto, and were loved, welcomed into the family, and spoiled rotten. Cindy loved to dress up for Halloween often trying to coax her husband Terry into doing the same, with or without him in costume, she would enjoy the party with childlike excitement.
Cindy appreciated her family. She spoiled each of them in a way only she could. Her grandchildren loved visits with Grandma Cindy, knowing that meant good food, sweet snacks, and lots of love. Her daughter, granddaughter, and daughter in law always looked forward to spa and shopping days, when Cindy would treat them like queens for a day. You could always count on Cindy to be there. She took exceptional care of those she loved.
Devoted, loving, realistic, intelligent, serving, persevering, these qualities were innate and abundant within Cindy.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry Morse; daughter Krissy (Oppenheimer) Caudle; daughter Kelly Morse; son Bret Morse; brother John Kearns; grandchildren Isaac and Mitchel Morse; Lindsay Jeffcoat; and Kyle and Trent Howard.
