Obituary

Christine was born in Redding, CA on February 4, 1964. After a brief but fierce fight with nature, she died on April 5, 2021 at Banner University Medical Center. Her son and husband were with her.

Christine grew up in Alturas, CA where she graduated Valedictorian from Modoc High School. She attended the Air Force Academy before graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.

Afterwards, Christine travelled the world working for Kimberly-Clark as a Research Scientist. Her favorite locations were Colombia, Argentina, Chile, China, and, of course, Costa Rica where she met her husband, Brian.

While living in cold Wisconsin, Christine had her son, Christian. Christian grew up in Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona. Throughout her life, Christine had a career, raised a family and made many good friends.

While in Arizona, she was "Volunteer of the Year" turning her love of reading, especially Harry Potter, to motivate kids to read. She was s substitute at Sonoran Science Academy, where Christian attended middle school. She took Christian's team to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis. At Canyon del Oro High School, she led the Graduation Night event, over a year of preparation.

In Arkansas, her joy and hobby of flowers and gardening thrived. She tended a ½ acre yard while battling breast cancer, which she survived.

Moving back to Arizona felt like coming home, and she transformed a desert into a paradise in her new back yard. She also was better able to spend time with her "grands", the little ones of her nieces, Savannah and Amanda.

She was best at being proud of her family: son, Christian; husband, Brian; mother and father, Sandy and Butch; father-in-law John; sister, Debbie; brother-in-law, Brent; nieces, Savannah and Amanda; nephew, Brandon and her "grands", Brylee, Akesa, Jed, Lily and Beau.

She will be met on the other side by her mother-in-law, Nancy; aunt, Kristi; cousin, Barry; and her grandparents.
