Charles W. (Chuck) Tomhave was born March 5, 1941 in Austin, MN to Walter and  Alice Tomhave. He passed away unexpectedly at age 82 on November 2, 2023 at  Sandstone Estates Rehabilitation Center in Tucson where he had been a patient for  several months. He had suffered with Parkinson's Disease for a number of years.   Chuck graduated from Austin High School and from North Dakota State University  in Fargo, ND in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.   He was married for 62 years to and is survived by his wife Judith (Lepel) Tomhave.  Their children are Jon (Katherine), Santa Cruz, CA; Kimberly (Curtis) Stahn,  Wauwatosa, WI, Peter (Valerie), Fargo, ND, and Christopher (Jean Sershen), St. Paul,  MN. Chuck was the grandfather of six; Natalie, Alec, Anna and Talia Tomhave and  Nicholas and Harrison Stahn. Chuck is also survived by his brother William (Lois) of  Moorhead, MN, his sister-in-law Dianna Lepel of Lester Praire, MN and a number of  nieces and nephews.

After their marriage, Chuck and Judy moved to North Dakota where they lived for 4  years in Bismarck and then 35 years in Fargo. Chuck owned and operated Red River  Collections, Inc. He also taught part-time at Moorhead Technical Institute for 25 years.  Chuck was active in Jaycees, First Congregational Church, and was a member of the  Fargo Zoning Commission for several years. He also played in senior softball leagues  and coached a number of his children's baseball, softball and soccer teams.   Chuck and Judy lost their home to the 1997 flood in Fargo and consequently moved  to Arizona. They lived in Tubac for 15 years and recently in Green Valley for the last  ten. As an animal lover, Chuck was active in the Humane Society of Santa Cruz County  and Paws Patrol in Green Valley. He served as a substitute teacher for many years at Rio Rico High School. Chuck was also active at the Good Shepherd United Church of  Christ. He was an avid golfer, first at Tubac Golf Resort and then for 15 years at Desert  Hills Golf Club in Green Valley where he was a board member for 5 years. Chuck was a passionate fan of the University of Arizona Wildcats basketball teams as well as the  Arizona Diamondbacks.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Paws Patrol or the Sahuarita Food Bank
