Betty Jane Sibberson Holst (Jan. 19, 1939 - Feb. 13, 2021)

Betty passed away Feb. 13, 2021 in Green Valley Arizona.  She was preceeded in death by her parents Ernest and Florence Sibberson and by her sisters Shirley Bennett and Bonnie Lutzmann  and by her husband Roderick P. Holst.  She is survived by her children son Bradley S. Holst and daughter Kristen L Holst Barker, grandchildren Miranda Holst, Jack Holst, Skyann Barker, Kenneth Barker, great grandchildren Stella and Harper Holst,  her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted member of  First St. Marks Lutheran Church and was active at the senior center in Walbridge, Ohio. She also loved and adored her dog Andy, who was her friend and companion until 2017. Betty was a devoted friend. Even in the last three months before death she still kept in touch with girl friends she knew since she was 6 years old.

Betty was proud to be a homemaker/ stay at home mom. Once her children were old enough she loved she working as an administrative assistant at the Scottsdale school district in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Betty loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially if it involved time at the casinos. She also loved to travel with her sisters. She was very proud of her and her husband's family roots.

Betty was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold! She was someone that you could count on. She loved to help not only those she loved and cared about but would happily give to those in need. She unselfishly gave her love and support to her caregiver (Michelle) when she lost her mother.

Betty was also a wordsmith. She was a writer of beautiful poetry.

Although we were not ready to say goodbye to this beautiful soul, God has called her home to be with him. As her great niece Ashley said "she was called home to be with her beloved husband Roderick in heaven just in time for valentine's day."

We, your family and friends, love you and will miss you dearly.  May you rest in peace.
