Barbara Obenchain died on April 14, 2024, at the age of 79.  She is survived by her husband, William Obenchain and her two children, Matthew and Victoria Obenchain. She was born June 29th, 1944 in Cannonsburgh, PA to Frank and Sophie Popeck.  She married Bill Obenchain 52 years ago on June 9th, 1972.

Barbara worked as a secretary and executive assistant throughout her life; living in Bethel Park, PA, Idaho Falls, ID and Severn Park, MD before retiring to Green Valley, AZ with her husband.  As her children grew; she joined and served many roles in each community's Newcomers Clubs. She volunteered as a girl scout trope leader, swim team ribbon writer, Eucharistic minister, and choir member.  She enjoyed traveling abroad and to visit friends. Her family Christmas destination trips were some of her favorite memories.

Barbara was known for her love of Mahjong, spoiling her beloved pets, laughing with her friends and loving her family above all else. We will be honoring her life on April 30th at 10am for a memorial service at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Green Valley.
