Obituary

Annelorre Dostal Robertson, 47, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on March 22, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona.

Annelorre was born at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Oscoda, Michigan, to Al and Jaqueline Dostal on October 23, 1973. She spent the early part of her childhood in England, where she gained her unmistakable accent. She moved back to the United States and graduated from Cooper High School, Abilene, Texas, in 1991.  She studied ceramics  at the University of North Texas.  Annelorre worked for the Commemorative Air Force Museum and The Museum of The Southwest in Midland, Texas, as both the children's museum director and a curator of exhibitions.

Annelorre had a love for animals and was known as an outstanding artist. She made lasting impacts in her art community by selling and participating in local farmer's markets, giving lectures, mentoring, teaching, and recording reading books for the blind. Annelorre had a bright personality that shined in her whimsical pottery and art, colorful hair, and her love for her family and friends.  In her last years, she traveled to Asia to visit family and moved to Santa Fe to fulfill a life dream. Her family greatly misses her.

Annelorre is survived by brother, David Dostal of Anna, Texas; sister, Heather Snodgrass of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; father, Al Dostal of Brownwood, Texas; mother, Jacqueline Dostal of Sahuarita, Arizona; and grandmother, Reva Dostal of Toledo, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues.
